Olie Brice Quartet

The Olie Brice Quartet is a new ensemble led by British double bassist, composer, and improviser Olie Brice, one of the leading figures on the contemporary British improvisation scene. He has invited three close collaborators to join the quartet: saxophonist Rachel Musson, pianist Alexander Hawkins, and drummer Will Glaser. Their music is rooted in original compositions but leaves ample room for free improvisation, spontaneous dialogue, and the ever-changing energy of the moment. Their debut album, All It Was, captures the band’s music as it moves between fragility, urgency, and an open free-jazz expression.
