Prague Quiet Music Collective: 100°C

In their new project, the Prague Quiet Music Collective places live music in an unusual setting – a Finnish sauna heated to 100°C. The indoor, outdoor, and waterside spaces of the NUUK sauna by the Old Elbe will come alive through a unique musical ritual in which sound marks the time of heating, cooling, and rest. Equipped with specially prepared instruments and voices, the musicians will also enter the sauna itself; at other moments, they will accompany visitors as they step into the river or relax by the fire. Campfire guitars, tuned in just intonation, will also play their part. Alongside the live performers, pre-recorded and amplified sounds will resonate through the structure of the sauna itself.
